Thank You Dutch

This morning I awoke to the news of Darren's passing.  Thank you Twitter, for making me cry. Dutch was my first PC guy and will always be one of my favorite players to collect.   I had an opportunity to meet him many years ago and shared my Daulton story here.    Darren could not have been more kind.  His stats are easily found elsewhere so this post is a simple tribute.  I have most all his cards; elusive parallels aside.  Here's a selection of favorites from the Dutch Binder.

1994 Triple Play

1992 Ultra

1993 Donruss Elite

1996 Stadium Club

1995 Donruss

1993 Finest Refractor

1992 Pinnacle

1992 Score

1995 UD Special Edition Foil
Thank you Dutch.

    1. Baylor and Daulton could use a new cards or two in Archives or Fan Faves type-release.

  4. It's been a rough couple of days for baseball fans. On a more chipper note... you've got one heck of a Daulton collection. I don't remember seeing that 1992 Pinnacle card before, but it's fantastic.

    1. Thanks Fuji. My love for catchers started with Darren. He was hard-core behind the plate, just fearless.

    1. Thanks Shlabo! Darren was one of the best when healthy. He fought thru so much pain to win a much deserved ring.

  6. Nice job Julie...as a fan who loves watching catchers play, Daulton was always a terrific player to follow...those Phillies teams in early 90s with Daulton and Kruk were fun to watch,

  7. Sad to see. Always liked Daulton and I didn't realize how many cool cards he had during his career. Never would have guessed he was in an Elite insert set.
